RRB (RRC) Group D Exam Pattern & Selection Process

RRB (RRC) Group D selection will be based on 3 stages as follows:

1.       Computer Based Test (CBT)

2.       Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3.       Document Verification

1. Computer Based Test

The CBT will be the first stage of selection that will be based on the following pattern:

Subjects	No. of Qs	Duration
Mathematics	100	90 Mines
General Intelligence and Reasoning
General Science
General Awareness on Current Affairs

• 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.

2. Physical Efficiency Test

If you qualify the CBT then you will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test which following will be of the pattern:

Male Candidates

o    You should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.

o    You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates

o    You should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.

o    You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

3. Document Verification

o    Based on the performance of the candidates in the CBT subject to their qualifying in PET, candidates will be called for document verification.

o    Thereafter, the final selection will be made.

01: Application received after the closing date of Employment notification.
02: Passage not copied in the information sheet (or) copied in capital letters.
03: Application without signatures (or) signatures done in capital letters.
04: Left hand thumb impression not affixed/blurred/smudged on the Application Form and Information Sheet.

05: Copies of requisite certificates not enclosed. (Certificate for date of birth, Educational and/or Professional certificate, Community Certificate for SC/ST/OBC, Discharge certificate for Ex-Servicemen candidates, Disability certificate for Persons with disabilities etc.)
06: OBC Certificate not in the prescribed format or without self declaration of creamy layer. (For consideration of relaxation for OBC)
07: Self attested Vision Certificate not enclosed (or) incomplete. (For ALP/ASM/Motorman posts)
08: FEE-postal order/DD not enclosed or less fee enclosed or Invalid IPO/DD i.e. IPO/DD purchased before date of issued or/and after closing date of Employment notice.
09: Identification marks column not filled up.
10: Do not possess the prescribed Qualification for the post on date of application.
11: Over aged or under aged or DOB not filled or wrongly filled.
12: Double or multiple applications submitted for the same post.
13: Application without color photo (or) photo with cap, wearing goggles, disfigured, unrecognizable, or scanned or Xerox copy.
14: More than one application in single envelops.
15: Candidate’s name is figuring in the debarred list.
16: Incomplete/illegible application.
17: Application not in the prescribed format.
18: Category/Post not filled up or incorrectly filled.
19: Application addressed to other RRBs.
20: Application filled in a language other than English/Hindi.
21: Any other.
